Maintain Sustained Pressure On Terror Networks: LG
Sinha chaired a high-level meeting with senior officials to review the security situation and strategic preparedness across the Union Territory.

Gillani, Principal Secretary to the Lieutenant Governor Dr Mandeep K. Bhandari, ADGP CID M.K. Sinha, IGP Kashmir Sujit Kumar, IGP Jammu Tejinder Singh, IGP Crime Branch Sarah Rizvi, divisional commissioners, DIGs and other senior officials.
The Lieutenant Governor called for a robust counter-terrorism strategy and enhanced ground-level operational synergy among security agencies, directing officers to adopt an aggressive area domination strategy to eliminate emerging threats.

Emphasising the importance of public trust in the security apparatus, Sinha directed police officials to strengthen direct engagement with citizens and designate specific hours for public interaction and grievance redressal.
Reviewing the functioning of police stations, he stressed the need for transparent, impartial and sensitive handling of complaints and directed officers to ensure that investigations are conducted with professionalism.
“The police must maintain a strong and continuous engagement with the public. Every genuine grievance must be addressed with sensitivity and every investigation must be conducted with absolute fairness, transparency and impartiality,” he said.
Sinha also commended the Jammu and Kashmir Police and security agencies for their action against drug smugglers and directed officials to intensify operations against narco-terror networks.
He further called for enhanced monitoring of emerging threats in the cyber and social media space, including anti-national propaganda, digital misinformation and online blackmailing.
The DGP and Principal Secretary Home briefed the Lieutenant Governor on the overall security scenario in Jammu and Kashmir. IGPs, DIGs and divisional commissioners apprised him of the security situation in their respective areas, anti-terror operations, law and order, drug smuggling and other emerging challenges.

The Lieutenant Governor directed all officers to maintain heightened operational vigilance, seamless inter-agency coordination and a proactive approach to safeguarding peace and maintaining law and order across Jammu and Kashmir.
