American University Of Madaba, Hashemite Endowment Committee Talk Interactive Jerusalem Platform
Madaba, September 1 (Petra) – The American University of Madaba (AUM) met Tuesday with a delegation from the Hashemite Endowment Committee for Jerusalem to discuss cooperation on establishing a comprehensive, interactive online platform for the endowment.
According to a university statement, the platform will employ the latest technologies to document the endowment's historical and humanitarian mission and enhance access to its knowledge resources.
The university said the initiative stems from Jordan's and the Hashemite leadership's historic role in protecting Jerusalem, preserving its identity and holy sites, supporting the resilience of its people and safeguarding the city's historical narrative.
It urged harnessing knowledge, technology and academic expertise to serve causes with lasting impact, describing Jerusalem as a historical and national responsibility as well as an institutional and ethical commitment that requires concrete action and tangible results.
The platform aims to connect new generations in Jordan, the region and internationally with Jerusalem's history, identity and heritage.
The university noted that HRH Prince El Hassan bin Talal continues to lead a comprehensive national effort to establish the Hashemite Endowment for Jerusalem as an institutional framework reflecting the ongoing Hashemite role in safeguarding the city's holy sites and preserving its unifying Arab identity.
The meeting was attended by Abdul Rahman Kilani, Executive Director of the Endowment; Mohammad Tarawneh, Principal Advisor; Hanaa Oraidi, Principal Advisor; and Farah Badri, Media Advisor, representing the Endowment Committee.
Representing the American University of Madaba were University President Uday Arida, Father Tariq Abu Hanna and Dean of Student Affairs Wafaa Khadra.
