Johanna Gibson is Herchel Smith Professor of Intellectual Property Law in the Centre for Commercial Law Studies, Queen Mary University of London, where she is also the Founder and Director of FIVE LEAF Institute for Law and Aesthetics. She publishes widely in intellectual property and legal theory, with a particular interest in the arts and creative industries, fashion, film, and nonhuman animal creativity. Her work in law and aesthetics includes aesthetic welfare and the link between aesthetic experience and well-being, including colour and expression in our built environment and surrounding spaces.
