Catherine Rider

Catherine Rider is a specialist on the religious and cultural history of Europe in the central and late Middle Ages, working on the history of magic, medicine, fertility and reproduction. She is currently in the last stages of a project on medieval understandings of infertility, and she is the author of a book for a general audience, Familia: the Medieval Making of the Modern Family, to be published by Headline Press in February 2027.
