Venus And Spica To Appear Close Together In Qatar's Evening Sky
Doha, Qatar: Skywatchers and residents of Qatar will observe a close celestial encounter between the planet Venus and the bright star Spica this evening, Tuesday, September 1, 2026.
The Qatar Calendar House, in a social media post, stated that Venus will appear at an angular distance of 1.2 degrees south of Spica, also known as Al-Simak Al-A'zal.
Residents across Qatar will be able to see Venus and Spica together with the naked eye above the western horizon after sunset if the weather permits.
The pair will remain visible until shortly before Venus sets at 7:52pm. Spica is the brightest star in the constellation Virgo.
