ADCAN Pharma Partners With Pinnacle Life Science To Facilitate Local Manufacturing Of Critical Oncology Products

(MENAFN- Mid-East Info) The partnership is expected to strengthen ADCAN Pharma's first-mover advantage by enabling Day-1 generic launches post-LOE

Abu Dhabi, September, 2026: ADCAN Pharma, a leading UAE-based pharmaceutical manufacturer and the nation's first-ever producer of oncology and hormone products, signed a strategic partnership agreement with Pinnacle Life Science Private Limited, a major Indian pharmaceutical manufacturer and a wholly owned subsidiary of Aarti Drugs Limited. The agreement facilitates the licensing of 12 oncology products followed by staged technology transfer to enable local manufacturing, in line with ADCAN's commitment to strengthening the UAE's capabilities in complex and specialised pharmaceutical manufacturing.

The signing ceremony was held at ADCAN Pharma's manufacturing facility in Abu Dhabi, in the presence of Mr Hamdan Aldahmani, Chairman, ADCAN Pharma; Mr Fokion Sinis, CEO, ADCAN Pharma; Mr Vishwa Savla, CEO, Pinnacle Life Science Private Limited, alongside representatives from the Emirates Drug Establishment (EDE) and the Department of Health – Abu Dhabi (DoH).

Mr Hamdan Aldahmani, Chairman, ADCAN Pharma, said:“Our agreement with Pinnacle reflects our long-standing commitment to advancing pharmaceutical localisation and healthcare security in the UAE. The partnership strengthens our domestic capabilities to manufacture critical medicines, thereby supporting the development of patient-centric critical care.”

The agreement marks a landmark achievement in improving supply chain reliability and resilience as it facilitates the local manufacturing of life-saving oncology products in the UAE. Moreover, the partnership is expected to strengthen ADCAN Pharma's first-mover advantage by enabling Day-1 launches of select generic oncology products following their loss-of-exclusivity (LOE) date.

Mr Fokion Sinis, Chief Executive Officer of ADCAN Pharma, said:“The partnership helps broaden ADCAN's oncology portfolio by establishing a robust framework for advanced technology transfer. Collaborating with experienced international pharmaceutical partners is also integral to scaling our commercial capabilities while fulfilling a broader healthcare commitment – bringing complex, life-saving cancer therapies closer to patients across the UAE.”

He added:“Beyond commercial objectives, the partnership lays a strong foundation for a more integrated and sustainable healthcare ecosystem, which enhances patient access, strengthens the availability of critical oncology treatments, as well as improves advanced cancer care standards across the region.”

Mr Vishwa Savla, CEO, Pinnacle Life Science, said:“Our partnership with ADCAN on this crucial oncology portfolio reflects our shared vision of making high-quality and affordable therapies more accessible to patients across the UAE and the wider Middle East. In the initial phase, we will jointly launch 12 key oncology products, combining ADCAN's deep regional market expertise and commercial capabilities with Pinnacle's integrated API-to-finished-dose manufacturing platform and US FDA-approved manufacturing standards. This will be followed by structured technology transfer, setting a strong benchmark for sustainable pharmaceutical collaborations in the Middle East.”

The partnership further aligns with ambitious national strategies such as the 'National Drug Policy' and 'Operation 300bn', which aim to foster self-sufficiency in pharmaceutical manufacturing. It also facilitates pharmaceutical localisation and technology transfer, directly contributing to greater supply-chain resilience and long-term national healthcare security. The collaboration serves as a critical milestone in elevating the UAE's complex pharmaceutical manufacturing capabilities, catalysing patient access to critical therapies as well as nurturing a sustainable and self-sufficient healthcare ecosystem.

As the primary formulations arm of Aarti Drugs, Pinnacle Life Science Private Limited brings critical expertise and technical knowledge to the partnership, while opening up access to the parent company's API manufacturing capabilities. Combined with ADCAN's diverse capabilities, including three manufacturing facilities as well as an annual capacity of 500 million tablets and 80 million capsules, the partnership has the potential to significantly strengthen the UAE's specialised pharmaceutical manufacturing ecosystem.
