Russia Attacks Orlivka International Border Crossing With Romania For Fourth Time SBGS

(MENAFN- UkrinForm) According to Ukrinform, Andrii Demchenko, spokesperson for Ukraine's State Border Guard Service, said this on Ukrainian television.

"Russians have attacked this border crossing for the fourth time. The previous three attacks took place in September 2023, October 2024 and November 2025," the spokesperson said.

He said that several buildings and structures at the crossing had been destroyed.

"The border crossing is currently closed because of the damage. Border crossing operations are not being carried out, but everything possible is being done to resume them as quickly as possible," he said.

The debris is currently being cleared to make it possible to equip the area with the necessary technical facilities, potentially including mobile structures.

"I will not make any predictions, but given the capabilities and the work currently under way, I hope that border crossing operations will resume here in the coming days," Demchenko added.

As reported, infrastructure at the Orlivka international ferry crossing on the border with Romania was damaged in a Russian attack on the Odesa region overnight on September 1. Traffic is being redirected to other border crossing points.
