Ukrainian Parliament Opens 16Th Session Of Ninth Convocation
"Under the Constitution of Ukraine, the rules of procedure of the Verkhovna Rada and the resolution on certain aspects of organizing the work of the Verkhovna Rada of the ninth convocation under martial law, the 15th session of the Verkhovna Rada of the ninth convocation concludes today," Verkhovna Rada Chairman Ruslan Stefanchuk said.

"I declare the 15th session of the Verkhovna Rada of the ninth convocation and its plenary sitting closed and, pursuant to Article 83 of the Constitution of Ukraine, simultaneously declare the 16th session of the Verkhovna Rada of the ninth convocation and its plenary sitting open," Stefanchuk said, after which lawmakers and government officials sang Ukraine's national anthem.
Under the Constitution, the parliamentary session is to open on the first Tuesday of September.
The 16th session of parliament will run until February 2027.
