Bridget Bryan

Bridget Bryan is a Postdoctoral Research Fellow at the Institute of Psychiatry, Psychology & Neuroscience at King's College London. Her research investigates the links between social connection, mental health and work using mixed methods approaches. In 2026 she was awarded a Colt Foundation Postdoctoral Training Fellowship to investigate the potential for social connection interventions to improve mental health and work outcomes using large-scale longitudinal data. She has also worked on the development and expansion of two longitudinal data discoverability platforms, the Catalogue of Mental Health Measures and the Atlas of Longitudinal Datasets.
Bridget completed a PhD in Social, Genetic and Developmental Psychiatry at King's in 2024 after completing a Master of Science in Sociology at the University of Oxford and Bachelor of Arts (Honours) at the University of Sydney. Before joining King's she worked on research focusing on workplace mental health and the Australian forensic mental health system at the University of New South Wales, the Mental Health Commission of NSW and the University of Oxford.
