Liverpool Land French Star Barcola From PSG for USD143.6M
(MENAFN) Liverpool have officially completed the signing of French forward Bradley Barcola from Paris Saint-Germain, the Premier League club confirmed Monday.
The 23-year-old passed his medical and put pen to paper on a long-term deal at Liverpool's AXA Training Centre, though the move remains subject to international clearance. Barcola will don the No. 29 shirt for his new side.
Liverpool have agreed to pay a guaranteed $143.6 million for the forward, with add-ons capable of pushing the total package to $166.6 million, according to Sky Sports.
The transfer arrives after Barcola lifted the UEFA Champions League with PSG in back-to-back seasons. He is no stranger to Liverpool's Anfield, having featured there in knockout-stage fixtures during both of those campaigns.
In comments carried by Liverpool's official website, Barcola said he was "very happy" to be joining the club and made clear his ambition to win the Premier League.
He pointed to "The passion of the fans" as a key reason behind his decision, noting he had already felt Anfield's atmosphere firsthand twice while playing for PSG.
"I hope to bring speed and danger," Barcola said, likening his playing style to the approach favored by Liverpool manager Arne Slot.
Barcola arrived at PSG from Lyon in 2023 in a deal reported at £38.5 million ($52.3 million). Since then, he has amassed an impressive trophy haul in Paris: three Ligue 1 titles, two Champions League crowns, two French Cups, the UEFA Super Cup, and the FIFA Intercontinental Cup.
The winger also found the net three times for France at the 2026 FIFA World Cup.
