Türkiye Places Five Firms on 2025 Global Top 100 Defense List
(MENAFN) Five Turkish defense manufacturers have landed spots on the closely watched Defense News Top 100 ranking, propelled by sharp gains in 2025 arms sales, the publication reported Monday.
ASELSAN remains Türkiye's highest-ranked defense contractor, climbing three spots to 40th after posting a roughly 26% jump in defense revenue — from $3.54 billion in 2024 to $4.46 billion in 2025.
Newcomer ARCA debuted on the list at 53rd place, fueled by an extraordinary revenue surge — up 4.6-fold, from $653.2 million to $3 billion year over year.
Missile maker ROKETSAN posted strong momentum as well, advancing from 71st to 64th place after defense revenue climbed nearly 18% to $2.37 billion.
Rounding out the field, Turkish Aerospace Industries secured the 48th spot with $3.65 billion in defense sales, while the Machinery and Chemical Industry Corporation came in at 81st with $1.42 billion.
Together, the five companies generated a combined $14.9 billion in defense revenue for 2025.
Globally, U.S. defense titan Lockheed Martin held onto the top ranking with $72.1 billion in sales, trailed by RTX at $46 billion and General Dynamics at $39.4 billion. Northrop Grumman placed fourth with $37 billion, while Britain's BAE Systems rounded out the top five at $36 billion, as major defense contractors worldwide reported rising revenues.
