Suwayda Clashes Leave Four Syrian Security Personnel Injured
(MENAFN) Four members of Syria's internal security forces were wounded Monday while repelling attacks by what state media described as "outlaw groups" in the rural areas of Suwayda, southern Syria.
A Syrian broadcaster reported that security personnel came under fire near the villages of Al-Mansoura, Walgha, and Tall Hadid, leaving four of them injured.
The broadcaster said security forces also inflicted direct casualties on the attackers, though no specific figure was given.
It further reported that the attacking groups used a drone to strike Al-Mansoura.

The clashes come as a ceasefire that has held in Suwayda since July 2025 continues to face challenges. That truce followed violent confrontations between Bedouin tribes and Druze fighters that left hundreds dead or wounded.
Groups linked to Druze spiritual leader Hikmat al-Hijri have repeatedly breached the agreement by striking military positions, even as the Syrian government has upheld its end of the arrangement, facilitating evacuations and the delivery of humanitarian aid.
