Two Ukrainian Cultural Figures Awarded Order Of Star Of Italy
“During an official ceremony, Ambassador Formosa, on behalf of the President of the Italian Republic, presented state awards to Solovyanenko and Tymoshenko in the ranks of Officer and Knight, respectively,” the statement said.
As the ambassador emphasized, the presentation of state awards to Anatolii Solovyanenko and Maksym Tymoshenko is a testament to the recognition of their personal contributions to the development of Ukrainian culture, musical art, and education, as well as to the strengthening of cultural ties between Ukraine and Italy.
The embassy emphasized that during this difficult time for Ukraine, culture continues to be one of the most powerful tools for international dialogue, promoting mutual understanding and strengthening European unity.

The order has five ranks-ranging from Knight to Knight Grand Cross.
Among the Ukrainians who have received this award are soccer player and coach Andrii Shevchenko, who was awarded the rank of Commander in 2018, as well as Ukrainian conductors Mykola Diadyura and Bohdan Plish, who were awarded the ranks of Officer and Knight, respectively, in 2024.
