Zelensky Proposes Audit Of Agreements With International Partners

(MENAFN- UkrinForm) The head of state said this in his evening video address, Ukrinform reports.

“Today, there was a briefing by the Commander-in-Chief, as well as by the Security Service of Ukraine, on Ukrainian long-range strikes in response to Russian attacks. We are preparing our steps, new steps,” he said.

The president also discussed September plans with Prime Minister Serhii Koretskyi and the diplomatic team.

“A lot is planned. All the meetings, all our negotiations must have a tangible impact in Ukraine - both in our defense capabilities and through additional energy support packages for Ukraine. At the political level, we already have very concrete agreements with the leaders. These need to be implemented at the level of the ministries of our countries and between businesses. This concerns Canada, the European Union, Britain, Norway and the United States,” Zelensky said.

The head of state also emphasized that there are“substantial agreements” with France, Britain and Germany, among other key partners.

“ We need a thorough audit of what has already been agreed at the political level but has yet to be implemented in practice. Every ministry should have a report on this, and this also applies to state-owned companies, first and foremost energy companies,” the president stressed.

Energy-sector support needs to be mobilized as much as possible ahead of winter, Zelensky said.

“Today, there was also a National Security and Defense Council decision on resilience plans for regions and communities. The NSDC is clearly analyzing which tasks are not being carried out on time by which regions and cities. For each such area, the NSDC has set clear requirements as to what needs to be done,” Zelensky added.

As previously reported by Ukrinform, Kyiv city authorities appealed to the Cabinet of Ministers with proposals to change the city's security protocols including reviewing restrictions on bridge traffic and metro operations during air raids, as well as easing the curfew in the capital.
