War Update: 173 Clashes On The Front Line, Ukrainian Forces Neutralize Over 70 Russian Troops In Pokrovsk Sector


(MENAFN- UkrinForm) Ukrinform reports this, citing a report by the General Staff of the Armed Forces of Ukraine on the battlefield situation as of 22:00.

“Since the beginning of this day, a total of 173 combat clashes have taken place. The enemy launched 66 airstrikes, dropping 218 guided glide bombs. In addition, it deployed 6,542 kamikaze drones to strike targets and carried out 2,049 attacks on settlements and positions of our troops,” the report said.

No offensive activity by the enemy was recorded in the North Slobozhanskyi and Kursk sectors.

Over the course of the day, in the South Slobozhanskyi sector, the enemy launched 13 assaults on the positions of Ukrainian units near Starytsia, Chuhunivka, Khatnie, Mala Vovcha, Dovhenke and Okhrimivka; two more combat clashes are still ongoing.

In the Kupiansk sector, the enemy conducted no offensive operations.

Five attempts by the enemy to advance were repelled in the Lyman sector, near Novoselivka, Drobysheve, Dibrova and Stavky.

In the Sloviansk sector, the Defense Forces successfully stopped two attempts by the enemy to advance near Ozerne and Kryva Luka.

No enemy assault operations were recorded in the Kramatorsk sector.

In the Kostiantynivka sector, the Defense Forces repelled 16 enemy assaults near Kostiantynivka, Illinivka, Novoselivka and Pavlivka.

A total of 32 attacks were repelled in the Pokrovsk secto. The enemy attempted to advance near the settlements of Sofiivka, Vilne, Kucheriv Yar, Dorozhnie, Stepy, Shevchenko, Bilytske, Vasylivka, Serhiivka, Udachne, Muravka and Novopavlivka. Three combat clashes are ongoing.

According to preliminary estimates, 53 Russian troops were killed and 18 wounded in the sector today. Ukrainian forces also destroyed two artillery systems, five vehicles, one piece of special equipment, one unmanned aerial vehicle command post and 51 enemy shelters. Another nine artillery systems, four vehicles, four UAV command-and-control posts and 127 enemy shelters were damaged. A total of 326 unmanned aerial vehicles of various types were destroyed or suppressed.

In the Oleksandrivka sector, the enemy conducted no active operations.

Four enemy attacks were recorded in the Huliaipole sector, near the settlements of Kosivtseve, Vozdvyzhivka and Tsvitkove.

In the Orikhiv sector, Ukrainian defenders repelled one enemy attack near Mala Tokmachka.

No enemy assault operations were recorded in the Dnipro River sector.

There were no significant changes in the situation in the other sectors, the General Staff concluded.

As previously reported by Ukrinform, total combat losses of Russian forces since the start of the full-scale invasion of Ukraine amounted to approximately 1,488,200 personnel as of August 31, 2026.
