AMSTERDAM - Stellantis has named Stephanie Hartgrove chief communications officer, succeeding Clara Ingen-Housz as the automotive giant's top communications executive.
Hartgrove, whose appointment is effective September 1, will report directly to CEO Antonio Filosa and join the Stellantis leadership team.
She joins Stellantis from Johnson & Johnson, where she served as global VP of MedTech communications and public affairs. Hartgrove previously held senior communications leadership roles at Baker Hughes and GE and began her career as a journalist with CNN and Al Jazeera.
Ingen-Housz, who has led Stellantis' corporate affairs and corporate communications for the past 19 months, is moving into the newly defined role of head of public policy & regulatory strategy, international trade.
Reporting directly to Filosa, Ingen-Housz will oversee the company's public policy, regulatory and trade strategy and support the CEO in institutional engagements. As part of the general counsel's office, she will also develop Stellantis' international trade law capability.
“I am pleased to welcome Stephanie at an important time for Stellantis as we advance our FaSTLAne 2030 strategy. She brings deep international experience and a proven ability to strengthen reputation, build stakeholder trust and lead through change,” Filosa said.
Filosa also thanked Ingen-Housz for her leadership of corporate affairs and corporate communications over the past 19 months and said the two appointments would help Stellantis maintain“a clear external voice” while engaging on key stakeholder issues.
Stellantis, one of the world's largest automakers, owns 14 automotive brands, including Jeep, Ram, Chrysler, Dodge, Fiat, Peugeot, Maserati and Alfa Romeo.
