Fire At Polish Drone Manufacturer: Authorities Investigate Possible Sabotage


(MENAFN- UkrinForm) Ukrinform reports this, citing the Świętokrzyskie Voivodeship police and Jacek Dobrzyński, spokesman for the Polish minister-coordinator for special services, in posts on X.

“We are investigating the circumstances of the overnight fir that broke out on the premises of a private company in Skarżysko-Kamienna,” police said.

According to law enforcement officials, around midnight, a security company operator notified emergency services after an alarm was triggered at the facility. The call concerned a building located near a warehouse where electronic components were stored. It was confirmed that a fire had broken out inside the building.

No one was injured, but the fire destroyed one of the facility's premises. After the blaze was extinguished, police launched an investigation to establish all the circumstances of the incident. The investigation is being conducted under the supervision of the district prosecutor's office in Skarżysko-Kamienna.

Jacek Dobrzyński, spokesman for the Polish minister-coordinator for special services, wrote on X that Polish intelligence services were collecting information about the incident, analyzing it, and investigating the possibility of sabotage. He added that he would not disclose details at this stage and warned of possible disinformation that could emerge concerning the incident.

As reported, Russia has launched a new wave of sabotage operations across Europ, recruiting members of local criminal groups to carry out acts of sabotage at defense-industry facilities in an effort to test NATO's resolve.

Polish private defense company WB Electronics plans to increase its trade with Ukraine to €500 million by 2030, according to company CEO Piotr Wojciechowski.
