Special Traffic Restrictions To Be In Effect In Uman During Rosh Hashanah
“From September 4 to 17, special rules governing entry to, exit from, and movement around Uman will be in effect due to the celebration of Rosh Hashanah. The restrictions are being introduced to ensure the safety of residents and visitors to the city,” Taburets wrote.
He urged everyone concerned to take the restrictions into account in advance and plan their routes accordingly.
“All these measures are for safety. We introduce them every year,” the regional military administration head stressed.
According to him, vehicles will be prohibited from entering Uman from the M-30 highway at Derevianka Street, near the premises of Standart Budivelnyi LLC; from the M-30 highway at Horikhova Street; and from the village of Rodnykivka at Pavlova Street.

At the same time, enhanced checkpoints will be in place from the M-30 highway at Derevianka, Mykhailivska and Vokzalna streets; from the M-05 highway at Yednannia Street; from the village of Horodetske, Palanka territorial community, at the intersection of Horodetska and Maksyma Zalizniaka streets; and from the village of Rodnykivka at Kyivska Street.
Separately, traffic from the M-05 Kyiv–Odesa highway into Uman via Vyzvolyteliv Street will be permitted only for Hasidic pilgrims.
As previously reported by Ukrinform,an interagency meeting was held in Uman to discuss security measures during the Hasidic pilgrimage.
