38 Dead, 4 Missing After Russian Strike Devastates Kyiv Region Village
(MENAFN) At least 38 people were killed and four remain unaccounted for after a Russian strike triggered a series of explosions in the village of Myla, in Ukraine's Kyiv region, President Volodymyr Zelenskyy announced Sunday.
"Unfortunately, it is known that 38 people were killed by the strike and subsequent detonation," Zelenskyy said in a statement, noting that 20 others were wounded, including two children, as search efforts continued for the four still missing.
Zelenskyy revealed that over the past week alone, Russia unleashed nearly 2,000 attack drones, more than 1,600 aerial bombs, and 31 missiles against Ukraine — including North Korean-supplied ballistic missiles.
He also warned of a growing danger posed by Russian jet-powered drones, adding that Ukraine is actively exploring new ways to counter Moscow's ongoing strikes.
