Trump Renews Attack on Canada Trade Deficit, Touts Returns

(MENAFN) President Donald Trump claimed Monday that companies are relocating back to the United States from Canada to sidestep tariffs, reviving his longstanding grievances over the two countries' trade relationship.

Writing on Truth Social, Trump asserted that America has suffered massive financial losses in its dealings with Canada, stating: "For many years, the USA has been losing more than 60 Billion Dollars a year with Canada. Why???"

The president also pointed to what he described as a reversal of past corporate flight, saying: "Our long ago stolen businesses are now coming back to America in order to avoid paying tariffs."

He characterized the trend as widespread, adding: "They are lining up, just like the rest of the World!!!"

The comments arrive as trade policy and tariff enforcement continue to dominate the administration's broader economic strategy.
