Ukrainian USF Destroy Five Russian Air Defense Assets At Yeysk And Millerovo Airfields
According to Brovdi, during the August 30 operation against Russian military airfields, drones operated by the“Birds” of the First Separate Center struck a Pantsir-S1 anti-aircraft missile and gun system, a Sopka-2 (12L6) radar station and an aviation weapons depot in Yeysk, Krasnodar Krai.
In Shabelskoye, Krasnodar Krai, Ukraine's Defense Forces struck a Kasta 2E2 radar station.
At the Millerovo airfield, located near the settlement of Dolotinka in Russia's Rostov region, ammunition depots and a technical and maintenance unit were destroyed.
The forces also struck an RSP-27 (DRL-27) radar and a Nebo-SV radar in Dolotinka.
According to Madyar, the main target of the operation was the DRL-27 module of the RSP-27 aircraft landing radar system at the Millerovo airfield. The destroyed DRL-27 is an airfield control radar that, in addition to detecting airborne targets, is an integral component of air traffic control and operates as part of a system with the PRL-27 landing radar.
“The destruction of the above-mentioned enemy air defense assets has been confirmed by additional reconnaissance,” the USF commander said.
