Türkiye Condemns Israeli Remarks Targeting Erdogan
(MENAFN) Türkiye rejects remarks issued by Israel’s Foreign Ministry against President Recep Tayyip Erdogan, accusing Israeli authorities of spreading false claims and defending Ankara’s position on the conflict in Gaza.
“The lies and slanders targeting our President in the statement issued by the Israeli Foreign Ministry reflect the cowardly and rotten mentality of the criminals serving in the Israeli government, particularly (Benjamin) Netanyahu,” the Turkish Foreign Ministry said in a statement.
The ministry accuses Netanyahu and what it describes as his “criminal network” of bringing “historic shame” on the Israeli people through the war in Gaza. It also condemns what it characterizes as an unprecedented expansionist policy in the modern Middle East, arguing that Israeli actions have contributed significantly to instability across the region and beyond.
“The immunities enjoyed by Netanyahu and his criminal network are disappearing both legally and politically,” the statement said.
Ankara further criticizes Israeli institutions for what it describes as operating like “Goebbels' propaganda machine,” arguing that such efforts are increasingly failing to convince the international community of the Israeli government’s “lies.”
“Türkiye, under the leadership of our President, has maintained an honest and determined stance against the crimes committed during the Netanyahu era,” the ministry said. “We will continue to defend and voice the truth.”
