Israeli Army Destroys Elderly Care Home in Southern Lebanon
(MENAFN) The Israeli army demolishes an elderly care facility in southern Lebanon on Saturday as military operations continue across several parts of the region.
The social care home is located in the town of Houla in the Marjayoun district. Israeli forces also destroy a number of buildings situated between the towns of Markaba and Rab El Thalathine in the same district.
Further south, an Israeli drone strikes an open area between Jarmaq and Kfar Remman in the Nabatieh district. Israeli artillery fire also hits the outskirts of Zawtar al-Gharbiyeh, while another artillery barrage targets an area between Haddatha and Haris.
The latest attacks come as Israel continues military operations in Lebanon following the launch of a new offensive in March, during which Israeli forces expand their presence into additional areas of southern Lebanon.
On June 26, Lebanon and Israel reach a framework agreement mediated by the United States that calls for a phased Israeli withdrawal in return for the deployment of the Lebanese army and the disarmament of armed groups, including Hezbollah.
