Doha: Qatar General Electricity and Water Corporation (Kahramaa) has reminded customers that they can easily obtain a“To Whom It May Concern” certificate for schools electronically through its official website or mobile application as the back-to-school season begins.

The service allows subscribers to request the certificate, which specifies the location of their electricity and water account and is commonly required for school admissions and related administrative procedures.

Customers can complete the process quickly and conveniently without visiting customer service centres, Kahramaa said in a post yesterday.

According to Kahramaa, the certificate is available free of charge. Users simply log in to the corporation's website at km or the Kahramaa mobile app, select the relevant certificate option under customer services, enter their Qatari ID details and electricity number, and choose to receive the document by email or download it instantly.

The timely reminder comes as families across Qatar prepare for the start of the new academic year. By offering the service online, Kahramaa continues to expand its suite of digital solutions designed to simplify everyday transactions and enhance customer convenience.

The“To Whom It May Concern – School” certificate forms part of a wider range of electronic services provided by the corporation. These include final settlement certificates, property clearance documents, service connection date certificates and account statements, all accessible through the same digital platforms.

Kahramaa's digital initiatives align with Qatar's broader drive toward efficient, paperless government and utility services. The corporation has steadily enhanced its online and mobile offerings to reduce the need for in-person visits while maintaining high standards of accuracy and security.

Parents and guardians requiring the document for school enrolment are encouraged to use the electronic channels in advance of registration deadlines. The process is straightforward and can be completed in a matter of minutes once the necessary account details are available.

In addition to certificates, the Kahramaa app and website enable customers to view and pay electricity and water bills, submit meter readings, track service requests and update contact information.

These tools support the corporation's commitment to providing high-quality and sustainable electricity and water services for better living in Qatar.
