Malaysian Community Takes Part In Walkathon
Doha, Qatar: The Malaysian community in Qatar participated in the weekly walkathon orgnasied on Friday at Doha Festival City as one of activities to celebrate and promote Malaysia's 69th National Day which falls on August 31, 2026.
The event was coordinated by the Malaysian Association in Qatar (MAQ), with Ambassador of Malaysia to Qatar H E Faizal Razali attending as Guest of Honour.
The five-kilometre walkathon brought together members of the Malaysian community in a relaxed and family-friendly setting, while promoting healthy living and the spirit of togetherness alongside various other people in Qatar.
The event also reflected the strong sense of togetherness among Malaysians in Qatar and provided an opportunity for members of the community to strengthen friendship and ukhuwah.
This year the Embassy of Malaysia in Qatar is organising a series of activities throughout August and September in conjunction with National Day and Malaysia Day 2026.
The Embassy continues to encourage Malaysians in Qatar to participate in community programmes and to uphold the values of unity, mutual support and pride in Malaysia.
