RSF Attacks Kill Four Civilians in Sudan's North Kordofan

(MENAFN) A local emergency group reported Saturday that at least four civilians died in attacks carried out by the paramilitary Rapid Support Forces (RSF) in Sudan's North Kordofan state.

The Dar Hamar Emergency Room said the RSF committed "serious crimes and violations" against unarmed civilians in the Al-Qaa area, west of Bara, and in nearby villages.

According to the group, RSF fighters killed four people, looted homes and property, and spread terror among residents. It also cited additional casualties and missing persons but did not specify numbers.

The Dar Hamar Emergency Room called on humanitarian organizations and the Sudanese Red Crescent to intervene without delay, deliver aid to those affected, and provide medical treatment to the wounded.

The violence adds to a war that has ravaged Sudan since April 2023, pitting the army against the RSF in a conflict that has killed tens of thousands and driven roughly 13 million people from their homes.
