Gaza Casualties Increase as Israeli War Enters Another Stage

(MENAFN) The death toll in Gaza reaches 73,449 following the deaths of nine Palestinians over the past 48 hours, according to Gaza’s Health Ministry, as the humanitarian crisis continues amid ongoing Israeli attacks.

In its latest casualty update, the ministry says hospitals receive the bodies of nine Palestinians, while another victim is recovered from the rubble. A further 18 people sustain injuries during the same period.

The ministry warns that additional victims remain trapped beneath destroyed buildings or stranded along roads, while ambulance teams and civil defense crews face difficulties reaching those in need.

No further information is provided about the specific circumstances surrounding the deaths and injuries. Meanwhile, Israeli forces continue to be accused of violating the ceasefire that has been in place since Oct. 10, 2025.

According to the ministry, Israeli violations since the ceasefire begins have killed 1,313 Palestinians and injured another 4,361.

Since the start of Israel’s war on Gaza on Oct. 8, 2023, the total number of Palestinians killed stands at 73,449, while 174,472 others have been injured, the ministry says.
