Israel Intensifies Attacks Across Southern Lebanon
(MENAFN) Israel continues to carry out attacks in several parts of southern Lebanon, employing artillery fire, airstrikes, explosions and the deliberate burning of homes. Most of the reported activity is concentrated in Nabatieh province.
Two explosions are reported near the outskirts of Aita al-Jabal, although no immediate information is available regarding casualties or the extent of material damage.
Later, an Israeli drone strikes Nabatieh al-Fawqa at around 8:55 a.m. local time (0555GMT). A second drone attack hits the same town at approximately 9:40 a.m. (0640GMT), according to reports.
In a separate incident, Israeli forces set fire to several homes in the southern Lebanese town of Beit Yahoun.
Israeli warplanes also carry out multiple airstrikes on an area located between the Al-Deir neighborhood and the Ali al-Taher hills on the northern outskirts of Nabatieh al-Fawqa.
“Israel has no intention of withdrawing from the Ali al-Taher hills despite US pressure to continue its withdrawal,” reports said.
