5,000 Acres Of Land In Balkh Declared State Property: Moj

(MENAFN- Pajhwok Afghan News) "> KABUL (Pajhwok): A special court handling cases of usurped state-owned land in the northern zone has declared 5,000 acres of land in the Mominabad area of Nahr-i-Shahi district of northern Balkh province as state property, the Ministry of Justice (MoJ) said on Saturday.

In a statement, the ministry said the Commission for Prevention of Land Usurpation and Restitution of Usurped Lands had previously investigated the case and, under Article 17 of the Law on Prevention of Land Usurpation and Restitution of Usurped Lands, referred it to the special court.

It said the court, after thoroughly examining documents and evidence submitted by the occupants and the commission, reviewing land registry records and obtaining information from relevant authorities, ruled that the entire area was state-owned property.

The statement added that, based on the court's ruling, the occupants must hand over the land to the Commission for Prevention of Land Usurpation and Restitution of Usurped Lands.
