Civil Defense: Rescue Crews Respond To 118 Incidents In 24 Hours
Amman, Aug 29 (Petra) – The General Directorate of Civil Defense (GDCD) said its crews responded to 1,489 ambulance, rescue, and fire incidents in the last 24 hours.
These included 1,213 ambulance calls with an average response time of 7 minutes and 35 seconds, it said.
GDCD teams handled 118 rescue incidents, with an average response time of 7 minutes and 36 seconds, and 158 fires, with an average response time of 7 minutes and 34 seconds, said the directorate.
It advised the public to wear appropriate swimming gear to avoid drownings and keep ignition sources out of the reach of children to avoid fires and accidental burn injuries.
