ADF Neutralizes 233 Russian Drones Used To Attack Ukraine Overnight


(MENAFN- UkrinForm) According to Ukrinform, the Air Force of the Armed Forces of Ukraine reported this on Telegram.

Starting at 18:00 on August 28, Russian forces attacked Ukraine with an Oniks anti-ship missile, an Iskander-M ballistic missile launched from temporarily occupied Crimea, and 267 attack UAVs, including jet-powered Shahed drones, Gerbera drones, S8000 Bandera drones, and Parodiya-type decoy drones.

The drones were launched from the directions of Kursk, Oryol, Millerovo, and Primorsko-Akhtarsk in Russia, as well as temporarily occupied Donetsk and Hvardiiske in Crimea.

The aerial attack was repelled by Ukrainian military aviation, anti-aircraft missile forces, electronic warfare units, unmanned systems units, and mobile fire groups of the Defense Forces of Ukraine.

According to preliminary data, as of 08:30 on Saturday, August 29, Ukrainian air defense had shot down or suppressed 233 drones over northern, southern, eastern, and central Ukraine.

Hits were recorded at 15 locations, while debris from downed targets fell at four locations.

In addition, some of the enemy's weapons did not reach their targets, and information about them is still being clarified.

The attack is ongoing, with several enemy drones still in Ukrainian airspace.

As Ukrinform reported, in the Odesa region, a Russian strike killed one person and injured three others, while trucks carrying food products caught fire.
