Syria, Saudi Arabia Strengthen Transport, Logistics Cooperation
(MENAFN) Syria and Saudi Arabia sign two memorandums of understanding on Thursday aimed at
expanding cooperation in transportation and logistics, according to reports.
The agreements are signed in Damascus by Syrian Transport Minister Yarub Badr and Saudi
Transport Minister Saleh bin Nasser Al-Jasser.
The new memorandums place particular emphasis on developing collaboration in road and
railway transportation.
The agreements are intended to support professional capacity building, facilitate the exchange of
technical expertise and encourage studies focused on restoring Syria’s transportation
infrastructure.
The two countries also seek to improve road and railway networks in Syria while strengthening
the movement of goods and trade through the country.
