Houthi Missile Strikes Village in Western Yemen Amid Escalating Fighting

(MENAFN) Yemen’s Houthi group launches a ballistic missile toward a village in the western part of the
country on Thursday, according to pro-government forces.

The missile strikes a village located north of the coastal city of Al-Khawkhah in Hodeidah
province. The attack is reported to have potentially caused casualties, although no specific
figures are immediately available.

The incident takes place as clashes between the Houthis and forces aligned with the Yemeni
government intensify along several front lines across the country.

The Houthis have maintained control over the capital, Sanaa, as well as large parts of northern
Yemen since 2014.

Despite years of international and regional diplomatic efforts aimed at ending the conflict,
fighting continues, with both sides carrying out attacks against one another across multiple areas.
