Fair Weather Forecast Ahead Of Sunday Showers: JMD

Amman, Aug. 29 (Petra) – Temperatures will drop slightly on Saturday, as mild weather will prevail in most areas. Hot conditions are expected in the desert regions, the Jordan Valley, the Dead Sea, and Aqaba.

According to the Jordan Meteorological Department (JMD), mercury will drop further on Sunday. A chance of showers is forecast in the morning in the Kingdom's northern regions and some central western areas, which may be often accompanied by thunder.

On Monday, temperatures will rise slightly, as pleasant weather will prevail in most areas, and relatively hot conditions are forecast in the Jordan Valley, the Dead Sea, and Aqaba.

Today's maximum and minimum temperatures in Amman will stand at a range of 33-19 degrees Celsius, the northern mountains at 28-16C, the desert areas at 37-18C, and the plains at 32-17C.

Meanwhile, the level in Dead Sea will hit 40-23C, and the Gulf of Aqaba will see a scorching 41C, dropping to 24C at night.
