Russian Facilities Suffer Damage in Overnight Drone Strikes
(MENAFN) A logistics hub operated by Russia’s largest online retailer, Wildberries, catches fire while an
industrial site is also damaged during overnight Ukrainian drone attacks, according to Russian
authorities.
Tambov Governor Yevgeny Pervyshov says the strikes target Kotovsk, located south of the
regional capital. He claims Russian air defenses intercept 16 Ukrainian drones during the attacks.
“As a result of Ukrainian drone strikes, a fire broke out at the Wildberries logistics center. The
fire covered over 100,000 square meters (1.07 million square feet),” the statement said, adding
that workers were evacuated after an air raid warning was issued.
Preliminary information indicates that one Wildberries employee suffers a concussion caused by
the blast wave. Authorities also report that a house in a nearby gardening community catches fire
after a Ukrainian drone crashes in the area.
Wildberries confirms that its facility has been affected, saying emergency crews are responding
to the fire. The company also says the logistics center is temporarily not receiving new
deliveries.
