Deadly Gas Accumulation Claims Two Lives In Bara Coal Mine


(MENAFN- Tribal News Network) Two miners were killed and two others fell unconscious after gas accumulated inside a coal mine in Chalgzai area of Bara tehsil in Khyber district.

According to local sources, a miner entered the mine to repair a malfunctioning machine, but fell unconscious after being exposed to gas. Other workers who went inside to rescue him were also affected by the gas and lost consciousness one after another.

Following the incident, all four workers were immediately shifted to Bara Hospital, where two deaths were confirmed. The two affected workers are receiving medical treatment.

The deceased workers are reportedly residents of Bara tehsil.

According to initial information, the accident occurred due to gas accumulation inside the mine. However, the nature of the gas and further details of the incident will become clear after an investigation by the relevant authorities.
