CCD Exposes Russian Fake About 'Mobilization Of Women' In Ukraine

(MENAFN- UkrinForm) The Center for Countering Disinformation under the National Security and Defense Council reported this on Facebook, Ukrinform reports.

"Social media users are sharing a photograph allegedly taken at one of the women's health clinics. The poster shows a Ukrainian Armed Forces servicewoman with the quote: 'Motherhood is not the only path to self-realization for a woman.' Propagandists accompany it with manipulative claims that Ukrainian women are allegedly being encouraged to go to the front directly in medical facilities," the statement said.

In fact, the CCD explained, the image is a fake created using artificial intelligence. This is confirmed by analysis of the photograph using specialized content-verification services, as well as by its original source - hostile anonymous Telegram channels.

"Russian propaganda systematically spreads disinformation about the 'mobilization of women' in order to demoralize and intimidate Ukrainian society," the agency said.

The CCD emphasizes that there is no mandatory mobilization of women in Ukraine, nor is any such mobilization planned. Women join the Defense Forces exclusively of their own free will.

As Ukrinform reported, the Verkhovna Rada Committee on National Security, Defense and Intelligence is not preparing any legislative initiatives concerning the mobilization of women.
