(MENAFN- UkrinForm) According to Ukrinform, Andrii Kovalenko, head of the Center for Countering Disinformation under Ukraine's National Security and Defense Council, stated this on Telegram.

"Putin plans to interfere in elections in EU countries in 2027 with the aim of supporting politicians favorable to Moscow who, according to the Kremlin's plan, are expected to influence the European Union's political position regarding relations with Moscow and its support for Ukraine," Kovalenko emphasized.

According to him, Putin also does not want to end the war either in 2026 or in 2027.

As Ukrinform reported, Russia plans to massively falsify "State Duma elections" in the temporarily occupied territories of Ukraine, aiming for voter turnout of more than 65–70% and at least 70% support for the United Russia party.
