Motion Agency Acquires Vehr Communications

CINCINNATI - The Motion Agency has acquired Cincinnati-based Vehr Communications, expanding the independent integrated communications agency's presence in the Midwest.
The acquisition is effective October 1. Financial terms were not disclosed.
Vehr founder and CEO Nick Vehr will join Motion as executive VP, focusing on business development and growth. The combined agency will have nearly 90 employees across Cincinnati, Chicago and Nashville.
Motion, which is headquartered in Chicago and led by founder and CEO Kimberly Eberl, first expanded into Cincinnati through its 2023 acquisition of Rick Miller Communications. The agency is also searching for its first creative director based in Cincinnati.
Founded in 2006, Vehr Communications is an integrated marketing and PR agency working with businesses and nonprofit organizations. The firm has been a member of the IPREX communications network since 2018.
Motion was also founded in 2006 and works across consumer, healthcare, nonprofit, manufacturing and B2B sectors. The agency is a certified woman-owned business.
