Dr. Ranjan Datta is the Research Chair (CRC) in Community Disaster Research at Mount Royal University, Alberta, Canada. With 17 years of experience, he specializes in community disaster resilience, environmental resource management, and decolonial methodologies across Indigenous and non-Indigenous communities in Canada, Ghana, Bangladesh, and India. He has published 95 peer-reviewed articles and multiple books on Indigenous perspectives and environmental justice. Dr. Datta mentors federally funded students and collaborates with scholars and communities to advance sustainability.
