Zelensky Meets Sandu In Chișinău, Calls For Deeper Cooperation
“Today in Chișinău. An important meeting with Maia Sandu. We are working to ensure greater shared security, energy, and infrastructure capabilities. Right now, it is especially important to stand together and strengthen one another,” Zelensky said.
He added that on August 24, Ukraine's Independence Day, President of Moldova Maia Sandu was in Ukraine.“Today, Ukraine stands together with Moldova on its Independence Day. Friends should stand shoulder to shoulder,” the Ukrainian President noted.

According to Sandu, Zelensky received the award“for his exceptional contribution to protecting peace and freedom on the European continent, and as a token of gratitude from the Moldovan people for the courage of the Ukrainian people.”
The Order of the Republic is Moldova's highest state decoration and is awarded for outstanding achievements in various fields of activity for the benefit of the homeland and humanity.
