“Syria And Brazil Can Do Much More Together”
Bao is visiting Brazil with a delegation of five businesspeople seeking to strengthen ties with the country. He said Syria is turning the page after difficult years, entering new industrial areas and offering strong investment opportunities in agriculture, transportation and energy.
“It is a good time to invite people from around the world to visit Syria and see what we have to offer. Brazil has extensive experience in agriculture and technology. We in Syria also have a strong track record in trade and business. That is why I believe Syria and Brazil can do much more together,” he told ANBA on Wednesday (26).
Bao visited the Arab-Brazilian Chamber of Commerce (ABCC ) in São Paulo on Wednesday with his country's delegation, after taking part on Tuesday (25) in the Brazil & Arab Countries Economic Forum, where the federation signed an agreement with the Brazilian institution to promote cooperation between the countries' private sectors and entrepreneurs, among other initiatives. The forum was organized by the ABCC in São Paulo.
Anas Bao proposed organizing a Brazilian business mission to Syria in October to explore local opportunities and establishing a Syrian-Brazilian business council. He believes Syria's strategic location could connect Brazil to the Middle East and Gulf region.
The Syrian delegation was received at the ABCC by board member Sami Roumieh, Market Intelligence Manager Marcus Vinicius, Technology and Innovation Manager Norton Chagas, Product Owner Helena Fernandes, and Senior International Business Executive Islam Shaheen. The group heard presentations about the institution and its initiatives to digitize business
