Over 218Kg Of Drugs Seized, 2 Arrested In Ghor
In a post on X, the ministry said counter-narcotics personnel of the Ghor police headquarters arrested a suspect in the 2nd police district of Firozkoh City, the provincial capital, with 101kg of opium.
The ministry said the suspect had loaded the drugs in Sar-i-Pul province and intended to smuggle them to Helmand through difficult-to-access areas of Ghor.
In a separate incident, another man was arrested in the Dahak area of Firozkoh for allegedly attempting to smuggle 117kg of a drug referred to as“F.”
Officials said the suspect had concealed the drugs in a vehicle and intended to transport them to an undisclosed location.
The ministry added that the cases of both suspects had been referred to the relevant authorities for further investigation.
