Confectionery Company Warehouse Destroyed In Kyiv Region After Russian Attack

The warehouse was used to store and subsequently supply finished confectionery products.

All employees were in a shelter, so none of them were injured.

Rescuers are working at the site. Efforts to deal with the aftermath of the attack and assess the damage are ongoing.

The company noted that this is the second time since Russia's full-scale invasion of Ukraine that the Russian army has attacked Roshen's warehouse facilities. In February, a finished-goods warehouse in Yahotyn, Kyiv region, was destroyed.

The latest attack also caused significant material losses, including the destruction of products. As a result, temporary disruptions in the supply of certain products may occur in the near future.

At the same time, the experience of restoring operations after the previous attack allowed the company to develop contingency plans and establish mechanisms for quickly reorganizing its logistics.

"The team is already working on redistributing stocks and bringing in alternative warehouse facilities to minimize potential disruptions and reduce their impact on partners and consumers as much as possible," Roshen said.

As Ukrinform reported, the Russian attack on the night of August 27 also destroyed the distribution center of the Budynok Ihrashok toy store chain, along with a significant portion of its merchandise.

The Russian attack on the morning of August 27 also damaged warehouse facilities belonging to the Fora supermarket chain in Kyiv region.
