I'm a PhD-prepared nurse scientist and board-certified Family Nurse Practitioner (FNP-BC), serving as an Assistant Professor and Assistant Head of Graduate Programs in the Purdue University School of Nursing. My scholarship focuses on men's health equity and the health and wellness of male firefighters translating clinical and occupational health evidence into practical prevention and behavioral health strategies. I also bring national professional leadership as the founder of the American Men's Health Nursing Alliance and as a leader in the successful, historic recognition of Men's Health Nursing as an official nursing specialty. As a volunteer firefighter and EMT with Tippecanoe Township Volunteer Fire Department, I can connect research to frontline realities while maintaining an evidence-based, non-PR approach with appropriate disclosures
