I am a specialist in Greek literature and early Christianity, and my current research project explores the use of Greek tragedy in early Christian writings from the New Testament through to the third century.

My PhD (KCL, 2024) explored the use of Greek drama and poetry in early Christian literature, particularly the late second-century Protrepticus of Clement of Alexandria. I also have forthcoming monographs on Christian education in Roman Alexandria (with CUP, under contract) and a new translation of the Protrepticus (with Paulist Press, under contract).

I have published across a range of material, including Platonic language, gnostic literature, Christians and culture in antiquity, art and architecture and Christian leadership.

I have written for a range of popular level outlets or spoken broadly on subjects including evangelicalism, spiritual abuse, later church history and ecclesiology.
