His Excellency Abdullah Bin Damithan, Chairman of the Ports, Customs and Free Zone Corporation, met with Emirati female employees of the Corporation during a special session held to mark Emirati Women's Day, observed annually on 28 August. The meeting recognized their outstanding contributions to Dubai's economy and their role in advancing national development.
On this occasion, His Excellency Abdullah Bin Damithan said:“Her Highness Sheikha Fatima bint Mubarak, the 'Mother of the Nation', reminded us this year that Emirati women's progress is not a collection of individual stories, but an integrated national system. That is exactly how we build institutions at PCFC – through coordination, not isolated achievement. Emirati women are part of that system across our customs, maritime, regulatory and security functions, and we remain committed to strengthening their path within it.” During the meeting, His Excellency announced the introduction of a special category for Emirati women within the Corporation's Excellence Awards, in recognition of their achievements and to encourage them to continue pursuing excellence and innovation. The meeting featured an open dialogue with the employees, during which His Excellency listened to their views, suggestions and feedback. He reaffirmed the Corporation's commitment to strengthening direct communication with its national talent and drawing on their ideas to enhance the working environment and institutional performance framework. The meeting reflects the Ports, Customs and Free Zone Corporation's commitment to supporting and empowering Emirati women, recognizing their contributions and strengthening their presence across various fields of work. This aligns with the UAE's approach to empowering national talent and supporting women's role in advancing development.
