QSE Index Opens Higher, Gains 7.30 Points
Doha, Qatar: The Qatar Stock Exchange (QSE) index rose 0.07% at the opening of Wednesday's trading session, gaining 7.30 points from the previous session's close to reach 9,792 points, supported by gains in four sectors.
QSE data showed that the Insurance sector led the gainers, rising 1.17%, followed by Telecoms, which gained 0.81%, Industrials, which rose 0.34%, and Real Estate, which advanced 0.15%.
On the other hand, the Banks and Financial Services sector fell 0.09%, Consumer Goods and Services declined 0.17%, while Transportation dropped 0.63%.
By 10am, trading on the QSE was valued at QR 57.190 million, with 26.547 million shares changing hands through 4,115 transactions, according to QSE data.
