Estonia's President And Luxembourg's Prime Minister Shown Aftermath Of Russian Strikes In Kyiv

(MENAFN- UkrinForm) The Communications Department of the Ministry of Internal Affairs of Ukraine reported this, Ukrinform says.

Luxembourg Prime Minister Luc Frieden, accompanied by Deputy Interior Minister Oleksii Serhieiev, visited the site of one of the Russian strikes in Kyiv's Lukianivka district.

Serhieiev, together with Andrii Danyk, Head of Ukraine's State Emergency Service (SES), showed the foreign guests the destroyed and burned buildings and briefed them on the scale of the damage and the rescuers' daily work, the Interior Ministry said.

Estonian President Alar Karis, accompanied by Serhieiev, inspected an apartment building in Kyiv that was hit by a Russian missile in July. Nineteen people were killed in the massive attack on the capital at the time.

The foreign delegations were briefed on how Ukrainian emergency services respond to Russian attacks, conduct search-and-rescue operations, put out fires, and assist people whose homes and property have been damaged by the strikes.

The head of the SES noted that cooperation with the European Union, particularly with Estonia, is helping modernize equipment and improve rescuers' readiness to operate amid the full-scale war and ongoing attacks.

“We clear debris like this within a maximum of two days,” Danyk said.

The Estonian President expressed his respect for Ukrainian rescuers and everyone helping people during Russian attacks.

As reported, Luxembourg Prime Minister Luc Frieden and Estonian President Alar Karis arrived in Ukraine on August 24 and took part in events marking Ukraine's Independence Day.
