War Update: 189 Clashes On Front Line, Pokrovsk Sector Remains Hottest

(MENAFN- UkrinForm) According to Ukrinform, this was reported by the General Staff of the Armed Forces of Ukraine in an update on the battlefield situation as of 22:00.

“Since the beginning of the day, a total of 189 combat engagements have taken place. The aggressor carried out 60 airstrikes using 197 guided aerial bombs, deployed 7,192 kamikaze drones for attacks, and conducted 2,340 shelling attacks on our troops' positions and populated areas,” the statement said.

In the Northern Slobozhanshchyna and Kursk sectors, four combat engagements took place since the beginning of the day. The enemy carried out 40 shelling attacks on Ukrainian troops' positions and populated areas.

In the Southern Slobozhanshchyna sector, the enemy attacked Ukrainian positions seven times near the settlements of Prylipka, Starytsia, Synelnykove, and Vilcha. Four engagements are still ongoing.

In the Kupiansk sector, the enemy launched one offensive toward Radkivka.

Ukrainian troops repelled seven attempts by Russian forces to advance in the Lyman sector, near Lyman and toward the settlements of Hrekivka and Novoselivka. Three attacks are still ongoing.

In the Sloviansk sector, Ukraine's Defense Forces stopped three attempts by Russian forces to advance near the settlements of Ozerne and Zakitne as well as toward Mykolaivka.

In the Kramatorsk sector, one combat engagement is ongoing near Fedorivka Druha.

In the Kostiantynivka sector, Ukrainian forces repelled 10 enemy assaults near Kostiantynivka, Illinivka, Novoselivka, and Rusyn Yar. Two engagements are still ongoing.

The enemy launched 14 attacks in the Pokrovsk sector, attempting to advance toward the settlements of Bilytske, Vasylivka, Serhiivka, and Novopavlivka, as well as near Udachne.

According to preliminary estimates, 53 Russian troops were killed and 17 wounded in the sector today. Ukrainian forces also destroyed nine vehicles, one artillery system, four pieces of special equipment and 34 personnel shelters. Another four vehicles, two artillery systems, one piece of special equipment and 116 personnel shelters were damaged. A total of 407 unmanned aerial vehicles of various types were destroyed or suppressed.

In the Oleksandrivka sector, the enemy launched three attacks toward Piddubne and near Rybne.

In the Huliaipole sector, Ukraine's Defense Forces repelled five enemy attacks toward the settlements of Vozdvyzhivka, Charivne, and Novoselivka as well as near Bilohiria.

In the Orikhiv sector, Ukrainian defenders stopped three attempts by Russian forces to advance toward Mala Tokmachka, Novoandriivka, and Lukianivske.

In the Dnipro River sector, the enemy conducted no offensive operations.

No significant changes were recorded in other sectors of the front, the General Staff concluded.

As reported by Ukrinform, Russia's total combat losses since the beginning of its full-scale invasion of Ukraine had reached approximately 1,480,750 troops as of August 26, 2026.
